Meet Dennis, a remarkable individual whose life has been a journey of resilience and dedication. At 62, Dennis is a retired 82nd Airborne Division Veteran, marked by his unwavering commitment to service and a profound experience that changed the course of his life.

In 1986, Dennis faced a near-death accident that left an indelible mark on his existence. Despite not encountering the classic tales of near-death experiences, he emerged from this pivotal moment with a newfound sense of purpose—the beginning of his remarkable voyage into the world of writing.

Dennis' path as an author was not without its twists and turns. After 1992, he took a 25-year hiatus from writing to prioritize the care of his family's health and dedicated himself to full-time work in factories. However, in 2015, fate intervened when his best friend gifted him an older iPad. This simple act reignited Dennis' passion for writing, specifically focusing on newsletters that he had voluntarily contributed to from 2013 to 2022. Remarkably, just two weeks after receiving the iPad, Dennis found himself immersed in the world of writing once more. 

This time, he embarked on a dual journey, both working with and volunteering for the causes that inspired his words.While Dennis' literary subjects may not be real individuals, each of his poems carries the essence of a true Veteran's story. Drawing inspiration from various sources, like news articles, internet resources, Veteran websites, and YouTube videos, he crafts narratives that honor the experiences of those who have served. Dennis firmly believes that he has been granted the gift of poetry by a higher power, a gift meant to illuminate the lives of fellow Veterans. Through his words, he strives to let them know they are never alone and to bridge the gap between the military and civilian populations, fostering a deeper understanding of the realities faced by Veterans.

In the spirit of camaraderie and unity, Dennis lives by the motto: "Each One-Reach One." His writing serves as a beacon of hope, bringing people together and shedding light on the profound stories of Veterans.
